On Friday, I was pleased to participate in the formal opening of Port Everglades’ new terminal. I could tell you that the terminal was a great success but (a) I already said that when it was 90% complete and (b) I don’t need to since there is so much independent evidence of that success. OASIS continues to make her way across the Atlantic but the weather has been anything but cooperative. In fact, far from diminishing, the storm has gotten worse and they are now facing significant wave heights of up to 35 feet. Some peak waves exceed 60 feet. Nature is certainly impressive. Here is a random sampling of other issues/comments that have arisen and don’t fit into any other posting.
· What do I mean by shakedown cruise? Between the delivery and December 1 we do a number of shakedown or pre-inaugural cruises which are designed to make sure all the systems onboard are working and practiced as well as to show off the vessel to media, our key travel partners and others.
