Nice Comments From the International Maritime Organization
We are as proud of the safety and environmental innovations on this ship as we are the guest-facing innovations. The international body responsible for setting standards in this area is the International Maritime Organization (“IMO”), which is an agency of the United Nations with 169 Member States. The Secretary General of the IMO is Efthimios Mitropoulos and he has been a strong advocate of steps to improve safety and environmental protection throughout the maritime world.
Against this background, I was humbled and gratified to receive the attached letter from Secretary General Mitropoulos. Harri and his team worked closely over a number of years with the IMO as well as the various other regulatory agencies to ensure they supported our efforts and to incorporate best practices and ideas. Mr. Mitropoulos’ most gracious letter demonstrates just how successful this effort was.

I thought it was already here..days ago. I’ve been walking along SE 17th every other day.
I have to say that this is one impressive ship. And after watching GM, I’m very proud to see some Americans on a yacht/ship like this. I used to freelance in the private yachting industry, but it’s been tough getting on a lot of these nice yachts among other internationals. I work at the Gap making a lot less money. By the way, are you still hiring folks? I’m a hard worker, very kind and CS oriented and I have a MA…oh and I process credit cards consistently…hey, that’s saying something, right?

Dear Chairman Fein,I believe that what you guys have accomplished here is astonishing she is a beautiful ship,
and I also believe that only Royal Caribbean could have envisioned such an elaborate concept as Oasis. However I’m really starting to get upset, as my wife and I having dying to see a photo or even a diagram of suite 1720, So far we’ve seen everything on Oasis, today you even posted new photos of the other accommodations,do you think that you can help us out here. PLEASE

If I count right, there are 18 life boats on the Oasis, each holding 360 passengers and 17 crewmembers at launch. Total capacity is 6786.
Max capacity on Oasis is 6360 passengers and 2160 crew, for a total of 8520.
If she goes down, 1734 people are going swimming.
I think I’ll fly.
